Our goal is to change discouraging perceptions of our community

community members are disengaged and skeptical of change due to continued disenfranchisement

Wyandotte County undergoes frequent changes that are supposed to improve educational programs, job creation, food security, affordable housing, and development. However, these changes haven’t made any impact on the communities they serve. There’s also a lack of local government support and appropriate actions taken on behalf of our inhabitants. In some instances, these changes have taken advantage of the vulnerable people who make up our community.

Our communities lack adequate education, jobs, healthy food access, and housing with few credible solutions or opportunities to grow and improve. As a result, community members are disengaged and skeptical of change due to continued disenfranchisement. Trust is an issue. Our goal as Project RALLY is to change discouraging perceptions of our community by way of Respect, Accountability, Love, Leadership, and Youth.

Project RALLY is helping to spread healthy food awareness providing community gardens in locations that are considered food deserts within low-income based areas of Northeast Wyandotte County, Kansas.
