New Services are on the Horizon
A growing number of you guys had asked us about printing-to-wood projects, so we looked into the process. After some research we found that we actually have all of the materials to create the print right in our warehouse. So, we embarked on a few trial pieces, using print photos among several kinds of paper. We tried different dry times, some only and our and some over a day. We also tried seven different transfer chemicals. At the beginning, there was little success; though it was exciting to see the print transferred, we found it difficult to fray away the paper from the wood without lifting and tearing the print. Some didn’t transfer at all while another completely disappeared.

Nevertheless, in the end we found the right technique for applying the transfer, dry time and rendering a vibrant, detailed print with subtle wood grain incorporated. Though we’re confident in the success of beautiful wood transfers, we’re still working out a few kinks. We love hearing from you guys and we’re always open to find a way to bring you quality work.
